The Gitelson, Dudley & Dubnick Chapters:
A textbook such as this requires a division of labor among the co-authors.
In this case, over the 12 editions published since 1987, each author had responsibility for certain portions of the textbook.
Each chapter was originally drafted for the 1987 edition published by Houghton Mifflin.
The posted versions (below) are from the 12th edition (labelled as the 2016 Election Edition) published by Oxford University Press.
My responsibility for the 12th edition included the following:
Chapter 1: Making Sense of American Politics (pp. 2-31)
Chapter 2: Constitutional Foundations (pp. 36-68)
Chapter 3: Federalism and Intergovernmental Relations (pp. 72-105)
Chapter 13: Bureaucracy (pp. 398-432)
Chapter 15: Domestic Policy and Policymaking (40pp online)
Chapter 16: Foreign and Defense Policy (33pp online)
